My children and their first act of thievery!

We have the stuff for the kid's Easter baskets hidden in the closet in our bedroom and today we had the closet door open while the kids were in our room.  All of the stuff is in wal mart bags so they can't see anything, and on top of that they are both still young and we figured it didn't hurt until they started trying to explore what was in the bags then at one point they even tried to steal a bag of stuff LOL!

The hubby and I were discussing stuff looking at the computer and I hear the kids talking in the closet.  I  heard Sully tell Fallon,"Here take this and follow me."  As she is to little to know the difference, and also pretty great at mischief herself she took the bag that her brother had given her.  I see them walk out of my room, finish the conversation, and head after them.  I reached Fallon just after she had gotten into Sully's room and as she turned the corner to go into her big brother's bedroom I heard him exclaim, "YAY!  FALLON YOU DID IT!!!!"  Boy was he elated!  I deflated his mood when I walked around the corner and he realized I had caught on to the plan.  He took one look at me and said, "Oh CRAP!  We got caught."

Man are they funny!  I do love those two little trouble makers!

On a side note Sully told me he hated me yesterday.  I realize he doesn't understand what he means when he uses that word just yet, but it did still hurt a little.  He has such a kind heart and I explained to him that saying you hate someone hurts their feelings.  He then proceeded to tell me, "Well I hate myself then mom."  He felt bad for hurting me and so he decided hating himself was a better option I supppse.  I haven't heard that word since yesterday and I pray it stays away for a long, long time.

Sully!

We ran into my sister and her boyfriend at Wal-Mart yesterday and they decided to take Mr. Sully with them and spoil him and have fun with him like any good Auntie and her boyfriend should...anywho long story short Sully LOVES music, and singing, and guitars and my son's new favorite person (Josh, my sister's boyfriend) let him play his guitar.  His real guitar!!  Not the rockband kind a real guitar and he hasn't stopped talking about it since!!   He's not very good haha but man did he have fun!!!

What we did today!

Today was the kind of day that just begs you to go out and enjoy it!  So that's just what we did!  Lots of time at the park, ice cream, windows open at the house, spent almost all day outside!!!  Kids enjoyed it and were very worn out by the end of the day.  I plan to do the same tomorrow!  Here are a few pictures we took at the park, enjoy!

What are we happy about?!  Today is the first day of the hubby's vacation!!!!  We get him here at home for a full 7 days!!!  That seems like an eternity but I'm sure it will fly by!  We get to see some family and friends during this vacation and we are ecstatic and Easter also happens to be next Sunday too so we will totally be ending this vacation on a good note!!!  It has been a very happy and sad day here.  How was it at your house?

It's GAME DAY!!!!!

Painting Clay Pots!!!

Finally an art project of late that I can blog about!!! With everything going on lately art projects have been pretty boring round here but today we had time to finally paint some little clay pots to plant flowers in! Got them painted today and tomorrow we are gonna plant some marigolds! Sully has been begging me to plant some flowers of his own so I hope we can keep these alive for a while and not kill 'em. Wish us luck! While we painted Fallon did some finger painting of her own and then played with a balloon...at one point she tried to use it as a pillow haha! Enjoy!!

My kids are slowly driving me mad....so last night I ran away for a while.  Fed them dinner, cleaned up from dinner, and was supposed to go to wal-mart, yet somehow I ended up at Bridget's house until like three o'clock this morning.  It was nice to get away from them for a while.  Sometimes I get overwhelmed and need the time.  I am thankful my hubby is wonderful enough to understand that and he let me go without any complaints, oh how I love that man!  Sure he needs some work but don't we all.  And sure he's no model but he's the most handsome man I know.  And while my children also drive me insane and so does my husband sometimes I can't help but sit here and think, "DAMN I AM LUCKY!!!"  Two beautiful, smart, growing, wonderful, children, and an honest, hard working, handsome man.  I don't know what I did to deserve them but I do my best not to take them for granted.  Suppose running away from them for a little while last night and having some time for myself helped me to appreciate them a little more.

Sully...oy that boy!

Ok, so a few things first.  My kids new favorite movie is Marley and Me.  They watch it all the time!  Also, my house is a mess with toys right now so I have set out today to get it cleaned up.  I asked Sully if he was gonna help and this is how the conversation went.

Me-"Sully are you gonna help mommy get the house clean today?"
Sully-"No...I'm gonna watch Marley you do it by yourself mom."
Me-"Get your butt up and start picking up your toys."
Sully-"Crap! Fine!"

He then proceeded to pause his movie and is presently still picking up toys and putting them in his bedroom.  What am I gonna do with him?  He's four and somedays just wow!

!!OY!!

First of all let me just say, "!!OY!!"  Today has been hell!  You know people tell you before you have kids that they are hard to handle and I believed this but some days more than others do I get a lesson in just how difficult they can be.  Today Sully pulled a chair out from under his sister, causing her to fall on her face and giving her a bloody nose.  After that he then managed to almost break our lovely...expensive...tv stand...thankfully when Ryan got home we managed to fix that little problem.  Third, he sat on one of the new night stands in our room and somehow managed to collapse the entire thing.  So now tomorrow I have to find a way to put it back together again...wish me luck!  In between all this mayhem I managed to feed, clothe, and even play with my children a little today.  Nothing special for art time today so no pictures, we just painted, always fun for any four year old, and mommy too on occasion!  After all that and dinner they are in bed and Ryan is too, and I'm writing this blog and I have yet again changed the look of the things.  One of these days I will get it right, until then please bear with me while I work through my blogger changes!!!  Oh and both kiddos are feeling much better!  Both still have runny noses but are back to their normal, rotten selves!

**Picture today courtesy of a sick Fallon who fell asleep while using her daddy as a pillow.  Aren't they cute?

Bikes!

Easter is coming! Slowly but surely and well we will not be home so the Easter Bunny brought my munchkins their big presents early this year...very early as we are a little impatient and wanted them to get their bikes early haha so....we had one chance to ride before the snow hit and sickness and I'm gonna post a few pics from that! The kids are now sick and Ryan is sick and it sucks! Hoping we all get better quickly...Ry is on vacation next week and we need to be better so we can have a good time!!! More about vacation plans later! For now hope you like the new changes...we are having an identity crisis round here...enjoy the pictures!!!

Hiatus!!!!

Well I've been on hiatus this week.  I do have good reasons for this break though!  Poor me, I've been sick.  Felt like a truck ran over my head several times, then I lost my voice, then because of all this sickness my house has gotten to be a mess.  So today I am finally gettnig things cleaned up and trying to get back on track.  Promise to be back and on track come Monday!  Although we do plan to attempt a volcano this weekend and paint some pots for planting flowers, so maybe there will be some blog posts before Monday!  Either way enjoy your weekend I know I intend to enjoy mine....all except for the damn nasty snow that the weather people are calling for right now.  I am so tired of the cold just bring on Spring already dang it!  Come on Kansas be nice to us for a change!

Egg Carton Flowers on a rainy day!!!

Today in the Dembkowksi house has been very busy!  I scrubbed every inch of my house!  Did bathrooms, washed bedding, dusted, mopped, vacuumed, you name it, I cleaned it in my house today.  It was a hard day of work but I'm glad it's done and I can spend my weekend relaxing instead of cleaning.  I did take some time out of my cleaning to feed and bath my children.  Oh speaking of feeding them there's something new we have started at meal times that we are enjoying and I haven't told you about yet!  I make the kiddos breakfast, or lunch, or dinner, and then we sit down and while they eat I read to them!  Keeps them quiet because their mouths are full and focused because they can't get up and run around during the story.  They have really been enjoying that reading time and so have I.  At this point when Sully sees me start to cook or get any food ready he heads to the bookshelf, grabs a bunch of books, takes them to the table, then sits and waits patiently for me to get the food on the table and start reading.  It's fun, it's new, and my kids are even eating better thanks to this new change in our routine!

Anywho onto the fun part of the day for Mr. Sully!  Today we made egg carton flowers!  Cut up an egg carton so you have just the shells, paint the shells, let them dry, then poke holes and stick pipe cleaners in the bottoms, put in a vase, glass, cup, any container really that looks pretty, and voila a fun spring decoration that you can enjoy, and your munchkin can be proud of!!!

Fallon was very into reading big books today as you will see!  Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Apple Painting!

Well folks things have been pretty dull round here the last few days.  Yesterday we didn't have time for an art or craft because I was too busy scrubbing my toosh off.   Anyway I'm starting today with my daily posts about art time.  Today we painted with apples!  I just cut an apple in half and we used the halves to make prints on the paper.  They were a hit at first, then brushes and fingers got involved and the poor apples were forgotten.  We did however get some use out of them and had a great time!  Fallon refused to nap today so she helped us paint....she really didn't paint much on the paper as she was too busy painting on herself.  Anywho pics to follow enjoy and hope you had a wonderful Thursday!!!!

Hello there!

Hello there my wonderful blog readers! How have you all been? Things have been alright here. Lots of new changes in our daily routines that I need to update about and even new changes to the blog look. Hope you guys like the new look! Well it's Wednesday, hump day as some would call it, and I couldn't be happier. Feels like this week is dragging by and it's been a bad one so far, I think it's the rain...makes a person gloomy. Anyway some of the fun new stuff that's been going on around here....Sully spouts off some very funny things these days. For example the other day, he was climbing on the counter in my bathroom, I walked up behind and caught him, told him to get down, and gave him a quick pat on the toosh, well he turns to me and says, "Mom, that was NOT necessary!" I was stunned a bit by that one. Where did he learn the word, and know how to use it in the right context? Where he learns most thing I suppose,...from me lol! Still doesn't change the shock!!! Sully and I have started an arts and crafts/science/anything fun really time when Fallon is napping. So far we have done all sorts of paintings and made Mr. Sully an art wall for his fun new stuff, we have also been doing pop bottle science, salt dough, and a bunch of other stuff. I am gonna start trying to blog and add pics of what we do during that daily so stay tuned and wish me luck!
Fallon hasn't changed much. She's learning new words and actions daily...still she refuses to stay Mama unless she absolutely wants me...not sure why that is. Funny Fallon story...the other day Sully went into the bathroom and went potty, Fallon went in to the bathroom after Sully was finished and proceeded to go thru the exact same motions...only trouble is she thinks she's supposed to pee like a boy...guess that means it's time to pull out the little kiddo potty for Miss Fallon and teach her how to pee like a girl.
Pics are from this last weekend....it was gorgeous out so we bought some bubbles, grilled out, and enjoyed the weather!!! Happy Hump Day and enjoy!!!
